The Three Rivers Lady Bulldogs began district play Friday, Sept. 22, with a 26-13, 23-25, 26-24, 25-14 victory over San Antonio Stacey.

Ashley Geffert served three aces. Madison Springs and Gabbi Escamilla served one ace each. Maddie Johnson led the team with 14 kills. Geffert posted 11. Kayla Shipman added six. Gabi Hiraldo tallied four, and Escamilla added three.

Madison Springs posted a team-high 32 assists. Escamilla contributed four, while Geffert and Ramirez managed one apiece. Hiraldo totaled four solo blocks. Escamilla collected 21 digs. Springs tallied 18, Ramirez added 15, Geffert and Shipman had 11 apiece, Johnson managed seven and Cora Lopez rounded out the stat sheet with one.

The team traveled to Corpus Christi on Tuesday, Sept. 19, for a match against Incarnate Word Academy’s junior varsity team. The Lady Bulldogs were victorious 25-10, 25-12, 25-11.

Geffert served a team-high five aces. Springs, Johnson and Escamilla served one apiece. Johnson scored seven kills, while Hiraldo had six, Shipman added five, Geffert contributed four, Escamilla delivered two, and Springs and Ramirez managed one each.
