The Pointer soccer team is back in a familiar spot as they head to the State Championship game for the 2nd straight year! They will face the same opponent as last year, Russellville on Saturday, May 21 at 12:00PM in Benton. The Pointers defeated Benton, 3-1 in the opening round of the State Tourney, Pedro Rodriguez with the hat trick. They then faced a tough Lake Hamilton team in the quarterfinals where they scored 2 goals in the final 10 minutes to edge out the Wolves, 2-0.
In the semifinals, the Pointers battled Maumelle where they cam out victorious, 3-0! Pedro Rodriguez scored his 41st and 42nd goals of the year to set a single season school record.
