Friday October 3rd, 2025 the Van Buren Pointers took on Siloam Springs Panthers on their Homecoming night and took home the win 38 to 0. Junior Quarterback Hayden Williford attempted 32 passes completing 22 of them for 309 yards with two passing touchdowns. Senior Quarterback Tristan Ray had 2 carries for 7 yards and 1 touchdown. Sophomore running back Hayden Christenberry had 18 carries for 104 yards and a touchdown. Senior receiver Austin Riggs had 5 receptions for 103 yards. Senior receivers Carter Kelley and Philip Steele each added on their own touchdown. Senior Linebacker Darren Mays finished with 10 total tackles on defense. Junior Jaxson Silvers forced 2 key fumbles with Seniors Jace Ponder and Antwon Cooper recovering them. Sophomore TJ Woodruff also forced a fumble with Sophomore Jalen Brown coming on top with it. Senior kicker Manning Dodson went 5\5 on his PAT. He also made a 26 yard FG. Congratulations Bird dogs going 2-0 in conference play since 1999!
