The Van Buren Lady Pointers volleyball team started strong in the state tournament, defeating Lakeside 3–2 in an intense first-round match. The team showed grit and determination, battling through five sets to secure the victory.
With the win, the Lady Pointers advance to the second round, where they will face Mt. St. Mary on Monday, October 28, at 2 p.m.
