Van Buren put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. The Pointers scored 77 points on the Southside Mavericks as they made off with a 77-55 victory. The Pointers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The Pointers and Mavericks were tied after the first quarter but 3 steals quickly opened up the game to a 10 point Van Buren lead and it never got closer. Van Buren led by 12 at the half and 16 at the end of the third quarter.
Junior, Jude Jennings led the way with 19 points / 6 rebounds and Senior Brodie Myers added 14 points /10 rebounds for his first double/double of the season.
Other double figure scorers were Sophomore Truett Cazzell with 15 points and Senior Gabe Johnson with 10 points and 7 rebounds.
Jude Jennings and Junor Abe Cone had 4 steals each on the way to 18 steals as a team and Sophomore Kyree Dumas had 4 assists on the night.
The Pointers will resume play on December 1 at home vs Greenbrier before spending the remainder of the non-conference on the road.
