The Pointers took control early and cruised to a 78-41 victory over Harrision in Clair Bates Arena on Friday night. The win pushed their conference record to 8-4 and overall to 19-9.

Four players ended in double figure scoring with Sophomore Truett Cazzell leading the way with 21 points on 6-9 shooting from three. Senior Brodie Myers added 15 points and 6 rebounds while Sophomore Kannen Russell went 2-3 from three point land to pick up 11 points. Senior Gabe Johnson tallied 11 points and 8 rebounds to go with 7 assists.

The Pointers set up a showdown on Tuesday, February 24th with second place Alma on Senior Night for a trip to the 5A State Tournament. With a win Van Buren will ensure themselves a spot in the tournament and will be playing for seeding in the last game at Farmington.

Seniors being honored Tuesday are Brady Perkins, Brodie Myers and Gabe Johnson.
