The Lady Pointers hit three home runs and scored in all five innings as they posted a run-rule win Monday.


Van Buren (6-2) scored four runs in the top of the first, capped by a three-run homer from Janelle Parga. Baylor Miles had a solo homer to lead off the fourth, while Lauren Suggs added a two-run shot that same inning.

The Lady Pointers got 15 hits in the win. Miles was 3-for-3 and drove in three runs and Suggs and Caroline Davis each went 3-for-4. Whitney Ellis and Cali Jones had two hits apiece as well.

McKennah Sikes was the winning pitcher, going the first three innings. She gave up one run on three hits while striking out five.
