Ethan Rauser hit a grand slam as part of a six-run fifth inning and the Van Buren Pointers hit a trio of homers during a 15-1 win over the Charleston Tigers Monday.

Evan Jones and Bryson Patrick also homered for the Pointers, who are now 2-0. Rauser, Patrick, Landry Wilkerson, Chase Moore and Ethan Holmes had two hits apiece.

The run support was plenty for senior left-hander Dalton Reeves. He struck out nine and allowed just two hits in the Pointers' victory.

Van Buren, which faces Northside today, took a 3-0 lead in the first on Moore's RBI double and run-scoring singles from Holmes and Rauser. The Pointers' Patrick clubbed a three-run homer as part of a four-run third, extending the Pointers' lead to 7-0.

Connor Catron's RBI double and Trevor Johnson's sacrifice fly gave the Pointers a 9-0 lead in the fourth, and Jones and Holmes hit solo homers in the six-run fifth.
