Van Buren rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the top of the first to pull out the 7A-West win at home on Friday.


Pitcher McKennah Sikes got the Lady Pointers (11-4, 3-1) on the board in the bottom of the first with a solo home run. Van Buren then went in front in the third on an RBI double from Whitney Ellis and an sacrifice fly from Baylor Miles before building a 4-2 lead on a bases-loaded walk from Ellis.

Sikes gave up two earned runs on seven hits to pick up the win, striking out seven.
