The Lady Pointers snapped a three-game 7A-West losing streak in a big way Thursday by getting the shutout win.

Van Buren (6-4 in 7A-West) scored in four of the first five innings, including putting a six-spot in the fourth.

Caroline Davis was 4-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. McKennah Sikes, Baylor Miles and Janelle Parga each hit home runs, with Sikes, Parga, Whitney Ellis and Hali Bartholomew each recording two-hit games.

Sikes, who drove in four runs, was also the winning pitcher. She allowed three hits in five scoreless innings and struck out four.
