Bryson Myers’ two-out, two-run double capped a late comeback Friday as Poteau rallied to beat Van Buren, 6-5.

The Pointers’ Connor Johnson suffered the loss.


Myers pitched two innings in relief for the victory.

Van Buren (16-4) was held to five hits, and standouts Landry Wilkerson, Chase Moore and Trevor Johnson were a combined 1-for-11.

Seth Humphrey, who was 2-for-3, singled and scored on an error in the sixth to give Van Buren a 5-4 lead.

Easton Francis and Clay Cross had three hits each for the Pirates.
