Van Buren’s cross country team participated in the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo., on Saturday. The squad also had a meet on Tuesday afternoon at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville.

Mason Hayes was the highest finisher as he came in 84th (17 minutes, 14.8 seconds). The rest of the Top 5 Pointer runners included Cameron Rush (163; 18:12.7), Colin Rogers (168; 18:14.7), Cordell Landon (175; 18:17.5) and Remi Mulloy (18:28.6). Other runners included Travis Cooper (200), Marcus Roberson (245) and Caleb Lawley (332).

Daisy Connor paced the Lady Pointers as she placed 155th (22:05.17) other Van Buren runners included Riley Giberson (214; 23:12.73) and Jordan Brodie (310; 28:17.48).
