After a 10 day hiatus due to corona quarantine issues the Pointers open back up play on Wednesday, January 20 vs Alma at Clair Bates Arena.

Alma sits at 8-4 and 2-2 in 5A West play after a home loss to league leading Russellville on Friday night. Led in scoring by Senior guard, Drew Battles, the Airedales also rely heavily on their interior presence with 6'7" Senior, Nathan Whaley, and 6'6" Junior, Hunter McAlister. All three are averaging double figures in scoring for Alma.

In their most recent action, the Pointers picked up a win at Greenbrier to stay unbeaten on the road in 20-21 and pull even in conference play at 1-1. Home wins are at a premium after dropping their conference home opener to Russellville. Van Buren is currently at 7-3 on the season after a 5 game win streak in non-conference play.

Game times will be 4:30 PM for the Lady Pointers and 6:00 PM for the Pointers with no JV contest. Expect a physical game with the local rival with a great crowd. The game will be presented by Rhodes Chevrolet and is also available on live stream via Pointer Media.
