Senior Jose Estrada recently picked up 5A West All-Conference recognition for the 2020-21 basketball season.

The Pointers finished in third place in the 5A West standings for their best finish in 4 seasons. Estrada was a huge part of that turnaround.
Easily one of the most improved players in the program for the 2020-21 season. The 5'10" combo guard averaged 11 points and 2 assists per game as well as leading the team in steals and defensive deflections. Jose shot 41% from the field and 38% from the 3 pt. line on the season and had multiple games with 3 or more 3 pt. makes. With season highs of 22 points and 17 points, Jose was instant offense and fearless shooting the ball. His activity level on the defensive end and commitment to competing and winning were huge factors in the Pointer's success. Jose's willingness to sacrifice for his team and teammates left an enduring mark on the Pointer staff and program.
