The Van Buren Pointers closed out non-conference play with back to back wins over Atkins (60-20 Final) and Shiloh Christian (54-31 Final) in the Russellville Hoops for Hunger Tournament.

Leading scorers and rebounders through the tournament included Sophomores, Drew Brasuell, Jaxon Cazzell, Glavine McDonald and Junior Forward, Conner Myers. Another key contributor was Junior guard, Tobey Sayaxomphou, who played key minutes throughout the tournament and gave tremendous effort on the offensive and defensive glass.

The Pointers will open 5A West Conference play at home on Friday, January 7th when Greenbrier visits Clair Bates Arena.

Greenbrier is 8-4 on the season and will be opening their conference season at Van Buren.
