The Pointer baseball team is back in a familiar spot as they head to the State Championship game for the 2nd straight year! They will face Marion on Saturday, May 21 at 4:00PM in Benton. The Pointers defeated Maumelle, 4-1 in the opening round of the State Tourney, Eli Gireath got the W on the mound. They were up against a familiar foe, Jonesboro, in the quarterfinals of a rematch of last year's state title game. The Pointers picked up the W in extra innings, 4-3. Devin Gattis hit the walk-off double to score Josh Nowotny.
In the Semifinal game the Pointers faced Batesville where they came out victorious led by Connor Brady on the mound, 12-3.
