Two teams are coming into the game on Friday seeking to shake off tough losses from last week. The Springdale Bulldogs have suffered three straight tough defeats to Har-Ber, Bentonville West, and Bentonville. Meanwhile, the Van Buren Pointers come into Friday’s contest after having fallen to Rogers 26-7. Both Springdale and Van Buren are looking to right the ship this Friday night.

Springdale is looking to bounce back after being shut out by Bentonville last Friday night. The Bulldogs could never get the offense going against an angry Tigers’ team that was coming off a loss to Springdale Har-Ber. The Springdale offense will look to get quarterback Layne Hutchins going early against the Pointers. Springdale wide receiver Jayden Minchew will look to being on the receiving end of some passes from Hutchins. Springdale will need the defense to force some three and outs but this should be a competitive game.

The Van Buren Pointers were impressive when they played Rogers Heritage but last week the Pointers’ offense struggled against the Mounties. The Pointers offense has been led by running back Walter Green in recent weeks. Van Buren will need a big game from Green to keep the offense on track and out of 3rd and long situations. If the Pointers can avoid the turnover bug then they should be able to stay in this game and make this a game that will be decided in the fourth quarter. Each team comes into this game knowing that it will be a tough game and this could be a game where anything could happen, as far as who grabs the victory.
