The Van Buren Pointer wrestling team continued their dominance on Saturday by winning their 2nd straight Dual State Title in front of their home crowd. They came into the tournament as the #1 seed and showed why by defeating Sheridan in the 1st round 66-18; in the 2nd round they defeated the #5 seed Lake Hamilton 48-33,; and then in the Finals they dominated the #3 seed Searcy Lions 63-12!
Also, a congrats to senior Taylor Smith, who picked up his 100th career win during the Tourney.
The Lady Pointers will wrestle in the Regional Tourney this Saturday in Searcy to qualify for State, and the boys will wrestle on Feb. 18 in Regionals at Mt. Home.
