The Pointers came out and took control early and never looked back. In a complete team effort again, the Pointers had 4 players in double figures with AG Denton finishing with a double-double, 10 points and 14 boards. Jaxon Cazzell led all scorers with 16 points and 2 steals. Trenton Cooley picked everyone's pocket with 6 steals and 14 points. Glavine McDonald had 10 points, 7 boards and 4 assists. Drew Brasuell finished with 7 points, 3 boards and 3 assists.
They finish the regular season with a 23-7, 12-2 record, which is the best overall record since the 27-6 1981 State Runner-Up team!
The Pointers are the #2 seed and will play Thursday, Feb. 29 at 2:30 vs Pine Bluff in the 5A State Tournament in Searcy.
