The Pointers needed to avenge their 1-0 loss to Siloam from earlier in the year and did so by blanking the Panthers 3-0! Freshman Steven Valente got Van Buren on the board early in the 1st half but the Pointers couldn't score till mid way through the 2nd half on Brandon Mendez's goal to put VB up 2-0. In the last 5 minutes of the game Mendez scored again on Luis Herrera's pinpoint passing.
With the win the Pointers take sole possession of 2nd place in the conference.
