The Van Buren Pointers finished the Mustang Classic in the championship game coming up short to Olathe North HS out of Kansas City.

Olathe came in ranked #5 in 6A in Kansas.

The Pointers were Mustang Classic Champs in 2023 and defended their title with wins over Lamar (MO) 70-46 and Glendale (MO) 62-61. Senior, Trenton Cooley, made a FT with 0.4 on the clock against Glendale to propel the Pointers into the Championship game.

Up next, Van Buren will be part of the Foster Roofing Classic at Northside H.S. on Dec. 19 vs Forrest City.
